So, deadline TOTALLY missed, I guess. >.>

While I have a bevy of excuses at the ready (motorcycle accident, work, writer's block, depression, WoW addiction, etc.) it's all rather unimportant. I missed my own self-imposed deadline, and whilst other, better writers can totally wrap up longer, better stories in a timely fashion... I totally can't.

Oh wells.

On that note, I'm taking today to try and write at LEAST chapter 8. Maybe even *gasp* CHAPTER 9?!

...Eh. Maybe not.

Good News, Everyone!

(You read the above line in Prof. Farnsworth's voice. You know it.)

While my hard drive was lost and the data on it has proven to be unrecoverable, I have found my author's notes, which I posted online at my (currently defunct) personal journal, so... Hurray...?

This means that I will get off my lazy arse and like, finish this story. My original goal was to have the remaining... 6 chapters done by the end of the summer. This goal is totally doable.

All that remains is getting me to put words on the page and stuff.

This also assumes that I don't die out on my new motorcycle. :S

...Motorcycles are exciting.

My iMac and the entirety of it's hard drive are NO MORE.

Also, I'm writing this on my laptop... My laptop which has a burnt-out battery and cannot be unplugged from it's power source lest it die.

What I'm trying to say is... Computers and I are at war. Until I have all of this resolved (and luckily, I do still have my BT notes... Somewhere) please bear with me. Is it 'bear'? Or 'bare'? I think it's 'bear'. (BEST. ENGLISH. MAJOR. EVER.)

Oh, and then a power surge made my Xbox 360 temporarily RRoD. I just about lost my MIND.

Lost it more than USUAL, anyways.

To sum this up... Shit sucks, and my hiatus is apparently not coming to an end anytime soon. I suck. Ergo, I = Shit, if my math is to be believed...

KBAI.

I Suppose This is DA Relevant.

But I seem to be easing back into a 'writing' state of mind. Along with my list of a HOJILLION other things to do, completeing Borrowed Time is one of them that I feel most guilty about, currently. Unfinished projects bother me to no end.

Unfortunately, every time I've sat down and tried to force some progress, I've had nothing but trouble. Did a few writing exercises today, something akin to a warm-up. Only have one final left, so school-wise, there is little on my plate. Seems like some creative wriitng will be forthcoming. Or something.

Also, just a side note ABOUT the fic. I'm aware it's somewhat rudimentary in its presentation, and it sounds somewhat pompous to say that it was my intention for it to be that way, but it was. BT is mostly just an extended 'trial run', to see if I can create a body of work before committing to more arduous endeavours. If I finish it to my satisfaction, I may take the time to edit it into a state I'm more pleased with, or simply expand upon it in later attempts.

...Basically, I'm trying to explain away the suck.

Alright, now it is sleeptime, goodnight internets!

Update your journal so people won't think you're ded!

I mean, I've DONE STUFF since December 25th, so I figured it was time to move that journal post off into the archive of... Things.

In terms of actual WRITING? Not... A lot... Has been done. I blame school and a complete and utter lack of inspiration. I also blame day-old pizza. That stuff MESSES YOU UP.

(Technically this pizza isn't a day old. It is... 17 hours old. THIS IS AN IMPORTANT DISTINCTION!)
